When a struggling single mother rents out a room to a creepy man, her nine-year-old daughter Sam begins to notice something isn’t quite right with the relationship between the boarder and her older sister. Alone and afraid, Sam is forced to keep secrets and bear witness to things she does not understand. But when threats escalate to violence, the nine-year-old must set aside her fears and tell the truth before it’s too late.
